9:30 meeting and presentations to the Visitor Center - Natural History Museum of the Majella National Park in Fara San Martino in Town Hall Square. Departure by car to their location Sterparo (700 m asl) and start hiking path can easily (routes on roads, mule or wide paths, paths are generally not long, there is no problem of orientation and do not require a discrete specific training ). During the tour, reaching the maximum altitude of 1,000 m above sea level, the forest often gives way to sweeping panoramic views of the Adriatic coast until you reach one of the most interesting architectural jewels of the eastern slopes of the Majella: the hermitage of Grotta Sant'Angelo.

At the end of the hike (lasting an average of 2-3 hours in total depending on the preformed groups), possibility of lunch at the restaurant "Il Pagano" Diver, company guardian of the Majella National Park, Packed Lunches otherwise autonomous area picnic at 700 m asl

Subsequent transfer to  Di Simone Beekeeper, a company recommended by the Majella National Park and guided tour and tasting of homemade cakes and various types of honey produced by the company itself.

To follow visit to the Sissa Catiuscia farm. This is a little farm that cultivate the Solina, a rear local wheat. We'll taste some of their products.

  • Good to know

    Dress code: long pants; t-shirts; sweater or fleece; long socks; hiking shoes. What to put in your backpack: t-shirt and sweater parts; jacket with a hood; sun hat with visor; sunglasses; raincoats or ponchos; water bottle (minimum 1 liter); any set food energy; binoculars and camera strongly recommended. What to leave in the car: shoes rest and further parts of the clothing.

    The accompanying reserves in case of bad weather or other force majeure that could endanger the safety of the participants, to cancel or modify the program by replacing the path with other destinations of interest.
