The mountain of Pietro. Panoramic hike from Passo San Leonardo to the summit of Mount Morrone, the first mountain to have been chosen by fratello Pietro at the beginning of his life of asceticism and prayer.
The Mount Morrone is wild and little-known hikers. With its long ridge separates the Orta Valley from the Valley Peligna and a balcony high up to 2061 m from which a view that encompasses the most important massifs of Abruzzo.
Reached the scenic Passo San Leonardo with a minibus in the Park, the tour will travel the path of Q3 ridges to the summit and descend back to the famous Trail of the Spirit, you can admire the dense beech forests that characterize the mountain area, to climb up to the highest pastures and then reach the summit of the mountain. From here begins the descent to the beautiful medieval village of Roccacaramanico Park where the minibus will pick hikers to bring them back to Caramanico Terme.
