Abruzzolink: guided tours with locals

Serramonacesca (PE)

The Valley of the Alento

With Guido Paradisi

Guido Paradisi

Photographic workshop.

The workshop will start at one of the oldest Benedictine monasteries in Abruzzo, the Abbey of San Liberatore in Maiella, and then continue in the nature of the gorge where flows the river Alento.

The beautiful church with elegant architecture is near Serramonacesca immersed in the lush valley of the Alento river.  The Abbey has an ancient history: the Romanesque building we see today was built in the early years of the eleventh century on the ruins of a former monastery monastery destroyed in the 990 earthquake. After a short stop to photograph architectural details and discuss perspectives and points of view we will go down the path to the brook where immediately meet waterfalls and waterholes. Since the beginning we will guide you in finding the nice picture, choosing the best shot, in the creative use of exposure parameters. We will analyze the use of shutter speeds  to achieve creative effects with the movement of water. The natural environment is reflected in the puddles where the water flows slowly or takes the magic of silk effects when rushing in all directions among the stones.
