The way of the waters!
With Adele Garzarella
Geotourism in the Majella National Park: the sources of the Eastern Majella.
“The way of the waters” is one of the routes related to "When Gaia discovers Maja", a project of Geotourism (geological tourism) in the Majella National Park and surrounding areas. The ultimate goal is to explain the landscape that surrounds us, the geological history and its evolution, going to provide the tools of knowledge useful to read (and understand) the Planet Earth we live on.
"The way of the waters!" is a route that follows the course of surface waters, starting from the surfacing of groundwater in the three wonderful sources of Mount Porrara and eastern Majella, revealing the secrets that rocks have kept for millions of years. A program that aims to improve geo-touristic knowledge and promotion of renewable goods such as springs, in a delicate balance with human activities, often due to pollution and ecological disasters.
