About me:

As a teenager being passionate about the war events that affected  Abruzzo, I have developed over the years a growing interest that led me to deepen the research in several British, Canadian and German military archives that allowed me to collect a lot of documentary material such to have the historical references for a deep knowledge of the places where the fights developed.

In addition to archival research I have conducted long and meticulous inspections on the battlefields, such as to allow me to be able to describe with skill and realism all the phases of the operations.

I am a profound connoisseur of the battle of Ortona that allowed me to publish numerous articles related to that event, as well as publish, in 2013, a book entitled "Absolutely Resist! The battle of Ortona through the war diaries and the memory of the German soldiers ", placing me, for the first time, with respect to many other scholars, on the enemy's perspective.

With the acquisition of the many maps that I recovered through visits to the archives I was able to offer a useful guide to anyone who wants to visit the places of the battle.

For years I have been accompanying groups of Canadians, and others, who come to visit for a pilgrimage to the places where the Canadian troops had the hardest fights; I have collaborated and advised in some documentaries that have been presented in Italy and abroad on the battle of Ortona.
