The history of the Bontempo ceramics workshop has started in Rapino in 1862, when the founder Lorenzo opened the workshop. The family has handed down this art from father to son for four generations up to this days when Maestro Amato has moved to Francavilla al Mare to continue this wonderful tradition.
Bontempo operates by directing his production in the familiar rut of typical traditional decorations such as fioraccio, roosters, landscape, rosespine to new forms and contemporary-style decor and avant-garde.
The visit to the artisan pottery workshop will take place with a short historical introduction and explanation of one of the oldest traditional crafts Abruzzo, followed by a practical demonstration of the various work steps required to create and decorate an artifact.
At the end of the tour you'll have the chance to by the artifacts directly at the workshop store.

The production of Ceramiche Bontempo ranges from small object of pure decorative taste, through artifacts at a wider range for cooking and lighting, to finish into real Art Works for the furnishings.
At the end of the tour you will have the chance to buy the artifacts directly at the showroom.
